Whangarei Intermediate is nestled beneath the Western Hills』 bordering the Waiarohia Stream, CBD and Whangarei Boys』 High School.

The School is set in four park-like hectares. Consisting of a combination of refurbished and new facilities the school is very well resourced.

The school in its central location is in close proximity to a number of public and private amenities all within walking distance including: The Art Museum, Caffler and Mander Parks, Whangarei Central Library, Forum North, Cameron Street Mall, Whangarei Youth Centre, Quarry Arts Trust, Town Basin and Kensington Park and Stadium Complex.

Students are offered a wide range of learning opportunities during school time as well as after school activities that are available to students.

Whangarei Boys’ High School welcomes between 20 and 30 international students every year from all around the world.

We offer long term and short stay options, with sporting and outdoor education programmes such as golf, scuba diving and surfing, along with ESOL classes and a wide range of academic classes.
