Delaware County Community College (DCCC) is located 22 km west of Philadelphia. Philadelphia is the 5th largest city and one of the largest college towns in the United States. Philadelphia, which means ‘brother love’ in Greek, is a historical city, as it it was a major centre of independence during the American Revolution (the US Constitution was signed at Independence Hall in Philadephia in 1787) and served as the first capital of the United States. Philadelphia has 4 distinct seasons, with hot summers, cold winters and mild springs and falls. Summer temperatures can rise as high as 30 degrees Celsius and winter temperatures can drop as low as -10 degrees Celsius. The city is home to many Fortune 500 companies as well as professional sports teams such as the NHL Flyers, NBA 76ers, MLB Phillies and NFL Eagles. Many prestigious universities are located in Philadelphia, including the University of Pennsylvania, Penn State University, Curtis Institute of Music and Swarthmore College. Students arriving at DCCC will arrive at Philadelphia International Airport and be picked up there by a representative of the International Students Program at DCCC.

School Information
Delware County Community College was established in 1967 and now has a total enrollment 12,000, with an international enrollment of 178 students. It maintains small classes of an average of 21 students per class. Each year, over 1,200 students successfully transfer to hundred of colleges and universities throughout the United States. Students from DCCC have successfully transferred to University of Pennsylvania, University of California system, Penn State University, Temple University, State University of New York, Bryn Mawr College, and many more. DCCC also has transfer agreements with over 38 colleges and universities in the Philadelphia area, in programs such as Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, Engineering, and Science.
